Regrant Organizations

We are fortunate in Sussex County to have active art and heritage communities and social programs with SCAHC playing a critical role in supporting their efforts. Many county art organizations are non-profits that rely on financial support administered by the Council.  SCAHC does this by securing grants from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the New Jersey Historical Commission, and organizing the distribution of the grant funds to the individual art and history organizations. The organizations supported by the programs in 2017 are listed below.

  • A.       Responsibilities:
  • 1.       Teach the art of 4 part barbershop to a women’s chorus of 40+ members
  • 2.       Plan and direct rehearsals
  • 3.       Direct performances including a show every two years
  • 4.       Work with Music team: Assistant Director and 4 Section Leaders
  • 5.       Current emphasis is on performing; not competing
  • 6.       Expenses are covered
  • B.      Rehearsals are Mon. evening 7-9:30 pm
