  Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council (SCAHC) is thrilled to announce the return of its beloved Annual Holiday Market & Exhibition, running from November 28 through January 8 at the SCAHC Gallery at 133 Spring Street in Newton.

  This festive exhibition showcases the creativity of local artists, crafters, and artisan vendors, offering a vibrant selection of unique, handcrafted gifts perfect for the holiday season. The Holiday Market has become a cherished community tradition, inviting shoppers to find one-of-a-kind treasures while supporting local talent in a welcoming, art-filled space.

  New this year, SCAHC will feature rotating vendor tables, with displays changing mid-December to highlight even more creative works. Visitors are encouraged to stop by throughout the season to explore the ever-evolving collection of art and handmade goods.

  Join us for the Reception & Holiday Party on Saturday, December 6, from 2–4 PM, and celebrate the season in your festive attire! Enjoy light refreshments, connect with local artists, and take in the joyful spirit of the holidays at SCAHC.

  Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council (SCAHC), Newton, NJ

  Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council (SCAHC) proudly announces the opening of its 55th Anniversary Exhibition, now on view from January 15 through March 5, 2026 at the SCAHC Gallery in Newton.

  This landmark exhibition celebrates more than five decades of creativity, culture, and community. The 55th Anniversary Exhibition highlights the voices, memories, and artistic visions that have shaped SCAHC over the years. Since its founding, SCAHC has served as a hub where artists and residents alike can explore, preserve, and celebrate our rich artistic and cultural heritage.

  This Exhibition features a diverse range of artwork created by community members and local artists and the show reflects resilience, curiosity, and the incredible talent of the region.

  Visitors are invited to experience this special tribute to SCAHC’s past, present, and future.

  Start your 2026 photography journey by entering SCAHC's Juried Photography Exhibition!

  Our digital submission deadline for this show is January 20th! This show is juried, so the digital submissions are judged and only the best photographs are chosen to be hung during the show. This Annual Exhibition is always competitive, and we’re grateful for the talented artists who submit their work and the community who has supported the show!

  This Exhibition will be on view in SCAHC’s gallery from April 2-30.
